The relaxation methods learnt within counselling can be adapted to help you healing, for example, when looking at your inner child. How would you like to view your younger self? What would you like to say? What did you need? What do you feel you missed out on? 

Clients have also found benefits such as increasing self-esteem, reducing anxiety and helping with abstinence from alcohol, among many other uses. 

Many clients come to therapy after being diagnosed or when questioning their neurodiversity.  There is no 'normal'. Everyone is individual in both their experiences and acceptance of themselves.

I can provide tools utilising CBT and other methods, introducing strategies to help with organisation, ensuring tasks are achievable, working towards good enough instead of perfection, or simply to love what makes you individual and accept how your brain and character work for you.

I have been working within the LGBTQIA+ community for most of my career.  This includes working towards acceptance and completing training within workplaces and the community.  Many of my clients are working out how their sexuality and/or gender are impacting on relationships, working on boundaries within monogamous or open, poly relationships.  They feel comfortable sharing intimate situations that may have left them feeling uncomfortable trying to work out the difference between compromise or people pleasing.  I provide a safe and affirming space for individuals to explore their identities and experiences.  If you are looking to address specific issues, explore personal growth, or to simply enhance your overall well-being, please contact me.

Having worked within and with emergency services, I understand first-hand how trauma can etch into your memory, with flashbacks appearing at unexpected times and without warning. Feeling unable to share the impact of how these situations have left an unsettled feeling within.  With gentle questioning, I can help with processing emotions in a safe environment.  I understand the criticism that can exacerbate your thoughts and feelings when being investigated for potential errors in judgement, while already trying to manage your own critical voice when faced with difficult scenarios.  In a safe space, where you do not have to filter the events that are playing over and over in your mind, I can help quieten the internal negative voices and lessen the impact of trauma.
